Southridge Corporation Acquires Option on Land in Texas

DALLAS-- January 14, 2008 --Southridge Enterprises, Inc. (OTCBB:SORD) (the "Company") today announced that it has acquired an option to purchase land for an ethanol plant near Dallas, TX. Southridge is evaluating numerous site location criteria to determine whether the proposed site is suitable for the construction and operation of a 50 million gallon per year (MGY) ethanol plant. Southridge's site location criteria include access to an abundant supply of corn, access to multiple modes of transportation for corn, ethanol and distillers grains, availability of a sufficient amount of water that is of suitable quality, availability of natural gas and other necessary utilities and infrastructure, and access to a qualified labor force.

The proposed plant near Dallas would be a 50 MGY natural gas fired, dry-grind ethanol facility. A plant of this size typically consumes approximately 18 million bushels of corn and produces 160,000 tons of dried distillers grains annually. Once operational, a facility of this size would likely employ more than 30 people. This will bring the company's total expected ethanol production capacity to 80 million gallons of ethanol per year, through three facilities.

"These acquisitions represent important steps in the company's evolution from a closely-held start up to one of the country's leading publicly traded ethanol producers," said CEO Ken Milken. "A highly focused management team and strong scalable production line are critical components to our future success as we navigate the more challenging conditions facing our industry today."
